No, no, no. What did he just fucking say? I stared at the ass-faced reporter blocking my way to the church. A sadistic smirk stretched across his lips while his crew filmed my reaction. They hoped I’d cry for the entire world on my wedding day, didn’t they?
Maybe I would.
“Tell us, Miss Snow, how does it feel?” He urged the cameraman closer and shoved the microphone an inch from my face. “How does it feel knowing your fiancé cheated on you last night?”
The bastard cheated on me? The night before our wedding? I tried to blink away my tears, but his words felt like a red-hot poker through my collapsing heart. After everything that had happened, every tear shed, every moment of struggle, and the promises made, I couldn’t believe it had all led to this: emotional annihilation.
What did you expect, Lily? Princes don’t fall for frogs. Not in real life. He wanted a beautiful life, a perfect life. He wanted a beautiful wife and beautiful babies. I couldn’t give him those things.
I dropped my bouquet, smoothed down the front of my white dress, and lifted my chin. “It feels like shit.” I turned away from the church, ignoring the roar of the press and the clicking of cameras, leaving behind my last shred of belief in happy-ever-afters.
Those don’t exist. They never did.

Definitely a book worth reading and recommending.
Every one of us has a fugly voice inside that keeps us back from doing something or going for something that we want, saying that we are not good enough, or pretty enough, or what ever. And in this book author Mimi Jean manages through comedy (made me laugh out loud in a hospital’s waiting room) and romance to explore a little bit about this side of everyone, this ugly side that manages to screw us up sometimes.
This is the second book, the first one is Fugly, but it can be read as a stand alone, although I do recommend reading in order. It is told by both sides and manages to capture your attention all the way through!
Lily, is now a single woman with her own shop, her own house, she is doing what she wants, she is her own woman!!!!!….. Se DOES NOT NEED NO Max to feel complete! She even has Patricio!!!
And suddenly Max decides to enter her life… again…. After six months?????? With not one word and now he wants her back????

Max hasn’t had it easy since the last time he saw Lily, but as always, he keeps everything near his chest, and hasn’t told Lili anything, he just assumes she is going to be waiting patiently for him.
And in comes Patricio!!! The third wheel in this love triangle. The handsome Italian actor used to have his way and his women but that swears he is no longer a playboy.
So Lily has some thinking and choosing to do on her own. We’ll she choose one domineering guy that makes her lose control in all areas of her life, o will it be Patricio, the safe one, the more than friend one.
“I felt a drop of wetness trickle down the side of my cheek, and it took a moment to realize it wasn’t my nervous sweat or emotional tears. It was him.”
What I really like in this book, as I said earlier, is that we see the way we can sabotage ourselves and our happiness by listening to our insecurities, but once we conquer our fears and face ourselves, accepting who and what we are we can accomplish everything.
What I didn’t like in this book, is that from my point of view, Lily is a very strong opinionated and very intelligent woman, and throughout the book that was not the same woman from book one, she made some pretty stupid choices and decisions that I did not feel were akin to her personality.
There is a love triangle, and I’m not really a love triangles kind of book gal, but it really is a good book.
